Mahesh: A Seven Year Old Boy Who Was Found by the Police at a Bus Stop
Mahesh is a seven year old boy who was found by the police at a bus stop. Upon enquiring,
he said that his relatives had brought him to the bus stop and when he looked for them they were
gone. He was distressed and was crying.
The police took him to the Bethesda Leprosy Home where he is receiving unconditional love and care. He was very sick when he came, as he not only was HIV positive but had also contracted T.B. At the home, he receives his medicines, and with that proper treatment, he is coming around and is much better. Mahesh is also going to school, learning crafts, and learning computer operations. It is a joy to see him smile and enjoy life.
We thank God for the opportunity to assist such children who are abandoned by their own family. Now he is a happy vibrant boy thankful for God's grace and mercy.
Hateesh: Award Winning Student
Hateesh is a young boy who lives in a rural hilly area. He wanted to study in a school where he could learn English.
Normally english medium schools are expensive. He and his father were quite apprehensive when they came to the school for admission as they come from a poor financial background. It was a dream come true when he found out that our school will take him even if he did not have any money to pay for tuition. He was given stationary,
books, back pack and other necessary items also. As he lives in a hilly area it,
took him a long time to walk to school. Transportation was also
arranged for him.
He has made the best use of the help he received and has excelled in his studies. He won a trophy for being one of the best students! This was possible because some one was willing to sponsor him and pay for his expenses. It is amazing, the talents that many of these financially deprived children have. It is a pity that for lack of money that talent remains buried. The aim of this school is to bring out this talent in children and develop them academically, morally and spiritually. By sponsoring a student you are investing in a life. Who kows what heights he/she will reach because you cared for them? May God help you develop these children into noble citizens to the glory of God.
"Let the children come unto me and do not hinder them. For the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." —Matthew 19:14
